Richmond Canada Line returns to regular service for one week

Trains will keep running after 9:30 p.m. from May 6 to 10.

Canada Line in Richmond is returning to regular service for the next five days while construction is paused for the new Capstan Station.

From May 6 to 10, trains running between Bridgeport and Richmond-Brighouse stations will remain open after 9:30 p.m.

TransLink announced last month that Canada Line service in Richmond will be closed from 9:30 p.m. to end of service from Mondays to Fridays from April 8 to May 24 to accommodate work at Capstan Station.

Regular service is expected to resume on Saturday, May 25.

Construction on the new station began in the summer of 2021 and the focus of the current phase of construction is on integrating the new station with the existing Canada Line system. 

The new Capstan Station was set to open last fall but was delayed to mid-2024 due to supply chain issues.
